Mountain Beidawu is the last high mountain peak at the southern end of the Central Mountain Range with an altitude of more than three thousand meters above sea level. It is listed as one of Taiwan"s protective Five Sacred Peaks, and is regarded as a holy mountain by the local Paiwan people, named "Meli-miligang" in their language, the meaning of which is "the Beauty of Fantasy"! With Taiwan"s largest area of primordial forest, it contains rich biological resources. Passing Kuaigu Inn and Dawu Temple en route to the summit of Dawu Mountain, within a total of about 9 km, there is a difference in altitude of approximately 1,549 meters, all of which is within southern Taiwan"s preeminent region of natural beauty, the "Dalupalringi Important Wildlife Habitat Environment". And the most stunning scenery is the famous "sea of clouds" of the autumn and winter seasons.
